Chien-Shiung Wu, born in Lui Ho, China in 1912 was able to overturn a law and physics and participated in the development of the atom bomb. In the 1940’s, We was recruited to the Columbia University and conducted research on radiation detection and uranium enrichment for the Manhattan Project. After the war, she stayed in the US and was known as one of the best experimental physicists of her time.
